As I live and breathe...

Imagine that title being said in an exasperated southern United States accent for full effect.

Hello! Greetings!

I am excited to have my own little place in the internet again thanks to viewers like you who were so kind as to support my recent Ko-Fi drive for funding.

For those of you who don't know, I lost my job about two months ago after a car accident. My employer was unable to accommodate me as I recovered, and things have gotten pretty tight financially. I don't want to dwell on that.

What it's been has been a reminder that there's more to what I am than my job and that I have things that I want to do with my life besides work. I write. A lot. It might not seem like it, but that's because I really like writing technical documentation. It's something I take pride in.

But wait.. there's more!

Having realized that I am not my career like I do every so many years, I've also realized that the way music is packaged and sold has changed since the 90s (back when my first band had an indie hit). If I'm willing to put in a little bit of time and hustle, I can at least try to pay for a hobby-that-is-almost-a-job from Bandcamp and merchandise sales.

I have also dug back into graphic arts and have started working on designs for other personal projects, including journal templates and organizational systems. I want to write more about that too.

I've been kicking around the idea of offering commissions on custom music for people who would like to have something for themselves or their project. That's going to be a tough sale without any demos to show you, so I am going to get to work on that

However, if you need bass tracks, throw me a line. I can probably knock something out for you pretty quickly. Let me know what studio software you use.

Anything else?

Yeah, I guess. I made an about page because those are pretty standard issue. I'm going to keep building out toys on the domain as time goes on.

I'm glad to be back.

Love you all, DrOS
